1. What is your favorite activity for your down time? My down time is usually on a Saturday. I love going to water aerobics, playing words with friends, going to a movie with my husband, getting pedicures with my daughters and fixing a family dinner.
2. What one thing is most important to your personal success? My family!
3. If you could make one wish and have it come true, what would it be for? Good Health for my family, student's and friends.
4. Why did you decide to be a blogger? I love to share my creative passion of teaching art and I felt it was a way to challenge myself with technology.
5. What do you do for yourself to nourish your creativity? It has been pretty lack luster lately, but I love to travel and go to museums, attend workshops and Pinning on Pinterest.
6. What is the hardest thing about your job? It has to be the repetitiveness of teaching 30 classes a week.
7. What is your simple pleasure? When my student's have pure joy on their faces when they make something.
8. What one person most influenced your life choices? My husband, Mike, of 34 years. It has been a journey.
9. What makes you most proud in your life? my two creatively talented daughters who have graduated from college, they support themselves in careers they love.
10.What would make it feel like you had felt ultimate success or has that already happened and why? I was nominated as Teacher of the Year at my school 7 years ago. I returned to teaching after the age of 40, and that nomination meant a lot to me! I could do it!
11.What is your favorite project to do with your students? I love having a studio day with my students when we just make painted or printed papers. We take those papers and use them for various cut paper collages.
Random facts about me.....I share a birthday with "Barbie" the doll....I love mint chocolate chip ice cream.... white wine....white labs and rescue kitty cats! A few things that I do not like are pencils that have been chewed on, when people don't return text messages and grocery shopping. I stole that last one from the Pioneer Woman, one of my heros.
